Our students in Asheville are surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. They have been able to experience all that the mountains have to offer, but many of our students have never, and some may never have the experience of seeing the ocean.
Our culminating 8th grade trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina serves a multitude of purposes. The trip allows our students to strengthen their community bond, it caps off their middle school experience, and most of all it allows each of them to carry with them the shared experience of the beach - something they will forever have in common.
We, as the faculty of AMS, vow that every child who wants to attend the OBX trip has an opportunity to do so. No one stays behind because of the financial burden of the trip.
Each year, around 30% of our 8th graders require scholarship assistance, which means between 65-70 students who need your help! They deserve the opportunity as much as anyone else.
The total cost of the 2018-19 OBX trip is $400 per student for four days and three nights - all inclusive. We will travel to OBX in April of 2019.
