ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A months-long investigation has led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of 1.1 pounds of fentanyl by the FBI and Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.
Early Friday morning, April 29, the FBI executed a search warrant at 258 Magnolia Way in Leicester as a result of the investigation based on community complaints. During a search of the residence, officials seized the drugs, along with a firearm and $1,136 in U.S. currency.
Two suspects at the home surrendered without incident, officials said.
Tyrius Eugene Smith and Denise Nicole Williams, both of Buncombe County, are now in custody of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.
