A Note from the Director

Dear Parents,

It is well documented that kids who attend summer camp tend to be more confident, self-assured and have a higher self-esteem. This is because camp is a safe place to take risks, such as: making new friends, camping out, successfully navigating our high ropes course, or rappelling down our cliff. These well monitored environments of risk are designed to encourage kids to push through self-imposed limitations and accomplish things that will strengthen their confidence and ignite a sense of adventure in them.

My wife, Libby, and I have four children: Sullivan (28), Sawyer (26), Sutton (24) and Sage (20). We are grateful that they all love the Lord and serve Him in their own unique ways. Our experience has taught us that parenting is not about always having the right answers, or acting like the “perfect parent”… rather, it is about leading your child in their walk with the Lord.

We, as parents, recognized the value of introducing our kids to different programs and people that will build upon the work we’ve done at home and challenge them in new ways to strengthen their faith and deepen their love for God.

As the Director of Camp Cedar Cliff, I train and challenge my staff to create an adventure for your child that I would expect for mine. The first step in accomplishing that goal is hiring the best summer staff available. We hire strong young Christians from across the country, that project excitement, passion, joy, and kindness, to lead your child in their summer adventure.

While we are grateful for mountaintop activities, programs, and facilities, we honestly believe that God working through our exceptional staff is what makes summer camp great. We look forward to sharing in the adventure this summer.

Sincerely,

Tim Brady

CEO/Camp Director

A Summer Adventure That Lasts An Eternity

A Personal Relationship With God

We want to share the message of God’s overwhelming love with our campers. Our approach to proclaiming the Gospel is thoughtful and relational. The relationships that counselors forge with their campers are the bridge to moving closer to Christ. Whether the decision to follow Christ is at an invitation during “Camp Fire” or in their cabin surrounded by friends, our counselors are trained to be there during this moment of celebration.

Christian Community in the Camp Setting

There’s nothing like the kind of community that develops at camp. We live, eat, play, and worship as a close-knit group of believers. Camp is a safe place to ask honest spiritual questions.

Hospitality and Servant Leadership

At Camp Cedar Cliff, we treat our campers with love and respect. We go the extra mile to serve their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Outdoor Experiences and Recreation

We believe healthy, outdoor recreation has value in and of itself. Our approach to recreation helps campers to cooperate with others, manage their fears, build confidence, learn new skills, and develop a greater appreciation for their environment and the beauty in nature.
